6 Dating Behaviors That Scare Single Men Away...

You're dating a guy, and it's the crucial first few weeks. You really like this guy, and you're wondering what you can do (or avoid doing) to keep this relationship going and not scare him away.

The truth is there are certain things that women can do that will scare men away. Don't sabotage a potentially great relationship that could have gone somewhere by scaring a man off right at the beginning.

Here are six dating behaviors guaranteed to scare men off that all women should avoid:

1. Trash-talking your ex. Don't talk negatively about an ex-boyfriend in front of a guy you're dating. I don't care if you're on your first date or on your 15th date with a guy, don't ever trash-talk your ex. Your ex is somebody you dated, invited into your life, and with whom you spent a lot of time. So don't talk negatively about your ex in any way, because what a guy thinks when you do this is that if he ever becomes your ex that you're going to trash-talk him the same way. So, when a man asks you about your ex, you can politely say, "We are no longer together. It was a great relationship while it lasted, and I learned a lot." That's it.

2. Paranoia Runs Rampant. Here you are dating a man you really like, and the first couple of weeks are going well. Then, that first boys' night out happens. In the beginning, you send him a text that says, "Have a great time tonight!" As the night progresses, however, seeds of doubt start forming in your mind about what he's doing, and you start to think "Is he cheating on me? Is he flirting with other women? Where is he right now?" So then, you lob another text in to him asking "What's going on? What are you doing right now?" Even though he tells you he's just hanging out with his friends, you proceed to make a major blunder:
You start checking up on him with continuous texts throughout the night. This paranoia will push a man away.
You start checking up on him with continuous texts throughout the night. This paranoia will push a man away. So when you are dating a man and he's out with his friends, respect his "guy time" -- it will make you the cool woman he's always wanted to find.

3. Trash-talking other women. A huge mistake many women make is trash-talking other women in front of the man they're dating. For example, you are out with him when a woman walks by wearing a skimpy short skirt. You say, "Look how promiscuous that woman looks! I can't believe she is going around in public like that!" What you are doing when you make comments like this to a guy you're dating is telling him that you're not confident in the way you look. It tells him that you don't love who you are and haven't embraced your own body. You are planting a seed of doubt in him, causing him to wonder if he he should date someone else who is more confident (and tolerant). Don't trash-talk other women. It makes you look really insecure.

4. Fishing for compliments. This is something that can drive a man crazy. Here is a typical scenario: The guy you're dating looks at you and says, "You really look beautiful tonight!" Ten minutes later, you look at him and ask, "How do I look tonight?" Stop fishing for compliments. Real compliments come from the heart. Allow us to compliment you when we really mean it. If we don't give a compliment at the exact moment you desire it, just accept it and be OK with that.

5. Clingy and possessive. You don't need to do everything together. You're still getting to know him. If there are things he likes to do that simply don't interest you, be cool with it. You don't have to be joined at the hip. If you are going to a cocktail party together, you don't have to be next to him at every moment. If you see him speaking with some woman at the party, do not immediately run over and start grabbing his hand and giving him a big hug -- and certainly don't do this all night long. You are being clingy and possessive when you do this.

6. Pushing friends on him. Avoid pushing friends on us too soon. Example: A woman will hang out with a guy on the first or second date and say to him, "You have to meet my friends Jenna and Amy. You also have to meet my friends Phil and Anne; they're such a great couple, and you'll love them!" A man hears this and thinks, "I don't even know you yet. Can I get to know you for a month or two before I have to go meet all of your friends and be put on display as 'the boyfriend?'" We don't want to be "the boyfriend" right away. It's too much pressure. We want to get to know you slowly and learn what you're all about. Believe me, once we get to know you -- and like you -- we will be more willing to get to know all of your friends.

Following these tips will help you get past the first month of a new relationship with a man and avoid some of the major pitfalls that can end a new relationship before it even starts. Be the confident woman you really are so we have a chance to embrace you. Don't scare us off before we have a chance to get to know you!

7 Tips for Earning Money From Your Blog...

1. Advertisements
It is much easier to get advertisements for your blog today than it was, a few years back. Thanks to Google, and Yahoo, you no longer have to run from door to door to impress advertisers, and wear off your shoe-sole in the process. Advertising programs like Google AdSense, Yahoo Publishing Network (YPN), and Microsoft Content Ads, have made earning from advertisements easier than opening your fridge and taking a bite from a piece of cake. To know more about how you can possibly place contextual advertisements and banners on your blog, do visit the following:

• Google AdSense: http://google.com/adsense
• Yahoo Publishing Network / YPN (formerly Overture): http://ypn.yahoo.com/
• Microsoft Content Ads: http://advertising.microsoft.com/microsoftadcenter/
faqs/content-ads
Your earning comes from the advertisements in two ways.
• Every time someone clicks on the advertisements, you earn.
• You also earn from the number of times people ‘see’ your page (that is, the
advertisements).

As you agree to the terms of any one of the advertising programs, advertisements will start appearing at various places of your blog, and an account will be maintained that registers how much you are earning. On reaching the minimum earning, or the pay-date, they dispatch you your paycheck. Cheers!

2. Affiliate programs
Your blog can get you revenue in one of the most traditional ways on earth; commission
in exchange of business. Hundreds of companies/websites (established brands inclusive), who pay commission to you for sending them customers. Examples of such are Commission Junction (http://cj.com) or clickbank (http://clickbank.com). They supply you with a java code that you have to paste in the HTML of your blog, and their banner appears. If any reader of your blog clicks these banners and becomes a paid member of the affiliate site, you get a percentage of the payment. Hey, that’ s not bad at all.

3. Get noticed, get hired
No luck, if you decide to write the type of cliché content that thousands of other bloggers are writing, but if the content of your blog is unique and style is crispy, you are bound to get noticed and get offers that sound like, “ I like your blog; how much, if you write a daily blog for me?” I leave the rate part for you to decide. You can easily charge anything between $15 and $25 for each article you write; and as such can earn around $150 per day.

4. Sell stuff
Set up your virtual store and sell stuff through your blog. It is absolutely free to become a PayPal (http://paypal.com) member and start accepting payments through your blog. You have to decide what you are going to sell. There are some items, that need to be shipped, and other items that have less hassle, and can be straightaway downloaded after a payment (for example, ebooks). This can become big business if you are serious and full hearted in your effort.

5. Become a sponsored blog owner
Things work if you can turn the right key. If you can impress others (read, business owners) by your writing, it may so happen that they want you to write about their products, and website through your blog. This is like direct advertising of someone via your blog. Your articles will also carry links to the site that is selling the products or service mentioned in the articles. Needless to say, you don’ t do this for free, or as a social service. You will get paid for writing about others’ products in your blog. What, if you aren’ t confident to write? Do you miss all these great scopes of earning? Never! Just go ahead and hire a writer. It is worth, even after paying him/her on per article or per month basis.

6. Promote your other site or service
You can use your blog to write interesting articles that will promote your other ecommerce-websites, or talk of the services you provide. Thus, by building awareness, you will get indirect earning from your other sources.

7. Donations
If your blog deals with social issues and charity, you are likely to attract donors who would be interested to donate for charity. A serious and honest effort is bound to attract donors.

Yea I Broke Your Stereo

Having friends from different ethnic backgrounds exposes you to different ways of thinking about other stereo types.

Today I'm going to start of with the basics stereo types 101

1st up we have the stereo type that white men can't jump (Woody Harrelson really put that one on the map) but this video should put that to rest.

Lesson number 2 is that all black people can dance this girl is helping me point out how off the mark stomp the yard really was.

Do You Have "Dreams" or "Goals"?...

Well, I guess I am going to keep up with the common theme that seems apparent in the last few posts, basically dealing with the daily "hustle" of trying to be successful, and the work that it takes to accomplish one's dreams, hopes, goals and aspirations.

I am a firm believer that you have to work hard for things you want in life. Not everything comes easy, though most people love anything that doesn't take too much effort to pull off. Sometimes you really have to work hard to accomplish something that you feel is great, and if you want it bad enough, you will do whatever you need to do to make it happen. I would assume that you don't want it badly enough if you are not willing to put your all into it.

Life is all about sacrifices. You may have to sacrifice time with family and friends, money that you would have otherwise used to eat out or go to a movie, or maybe even having fun sometimes. There is a New Balance commercial that touches on this subject where it talks about someone giving up their entire summer vacation to running. No free Saturday mornings or late night hanging outs. Extra time put in before and after practice. And what did running give in return? "Just that extra half step in overtime".

A lot of us want that extra half step without putting in the extra time and effort. We may think it's "just going to happen", when that is rarely the case. Maybe if your rich, and have everything handed to you in life things are a little easier, but for us regular folk we either have to chase our dreams and goals or watch them pass us by.

I don't like to say that I have "dreams" because "dreams" don't come true. I would rather have goals that I can work towards. Everything is a process. Everything takes steps. The football analogy by Plus One below is a great example and it really puts things in perspective. Does it make sense to throw a hail mary on the first 3 downs of the first quarter to get the touchdown? What if you run a couple plays and you see that they aren't working how you planned, so you switch it up and do something else? What if you use a couple plays that you know will work once in a while, so you implement those when the time is right? The goal is to get to the end zone, right? As long as your advancing to keep getting 1st downs and avoid being sacked- in essence, moving backwards- then who cares how many tries it takes, as long as you get there- just hope it's not in the last minute of the game. This is hard for a lot of people to grasp because we want the things in life to come easy. Technology has made it so we can rely on other things to do what we don't want to do. To me, thats fine... I like technology and the advancements it has made to our society, but when it comes to personal goals that one wants to accomplish, hard work and who you know are the most important things.

Let's say you play basketball and you know Michael Jordan. You want to play for the Bobcats and since he plays a major part in running the organization, you want to impress him. But there's one problem. You suck! You've been hanging out with your friends all summer. You've been drinking and chasing girls on the weekends. You've been spending all your money on things that give you instant pleasure and have no positive effect on you for the future. You just blew any shot of being on an NBA franchise. You didn't prepare yourself enough because you relied on the fact that you know Michael Jordan, forgetting that fact that there are a million other people your age who want the same thing. And the dude who doesn't know MJ is better than you, so you better make sure he never gets to meet the Great One because then your spot is GONE.

I have sacrificed hanging out, spending money and doing many fun things to the point that if I didn't tell people why I did so, they would probably think that something was wrong with me. That just shows my drive and ambition and confidence in the field I am pursuing. I would rather sacrifice all that stuff now to have it in abundance once I'm well off and successful in my career. The clothes, that slice of pizza, that box office hit (i'll watch it when it comes on TBS)... they don't do anything to help my career.
Work hard to achieve your dreams or goals and never give up no matter what. If you believe in yourself and really believe deep down inside that you can do something, go for it and do not let anyone tell you no. There are always people trying to bring you down because they are either unhappy or dont have the drive to follow their own dreams, so they want you to suffer like them. Keep on pushin!

Find A Goal and Score

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I just want to talk a little bit about something that's effecting me and a lot of people i know and don't know. So I'm talking to you and myself. Being a young adult it's difficult to know what you want to do in life or what your suppose to do. For those rare individuals who knew since they were little kids, that's a gift. But for the many of us it doesn't come that easy, so don't think you're alone. The best thing i can suggest to fix that is just by exposing yourself to many different things, activities, and people. When your environment is very limited and always the same you lack stimulation from the world and can make you feel that there are no options other than what you already know. A fire can be lit inside you that you never knew was there just by meeting a new person or doing a new activity.

Now for those of us who know what they want to do but make excuses why they aren't there yet. You have to put some action behind your words. The more you talk about doing something the more you're not taking action to do it. So basically more action. The reason you might not be taking action is because you're just looking at the ultimate goal which might seem so distant it could be discouraging. It's like being on the one yard line in football and trying to get a touchdown in just four tries. That task seem so difficult you probably would give up before even trying. But if you can get some first downs on your way, then that task has gotten a lot more do- able. Pretty much you have to set little goals to get you to the big one.

Lastly just make sure you have a goal cause that's the only way things get accomplished. Imagine seeing two kids playing basketball with no hoop (no crates, no garbage cans, no clothes hangers you can bend into a hoop for all my people from the hood). You probable wonder what the hell are they doing. You might even ask them how do they know who's winning and think that they are wasting their time. When your mom, dad, girlfriend , boyfriend, brother, sister etc. is giving you a hard time about what your doing with your life, they see you playing basketball with no hoop. So just make sure you're moving forward everyday because even if you think you stood still, you really went backwards cause time is always moving forwards.

So find that goal and get it poppin. Peace.

THE AGE OF THE HUSTLE

I ask you all to close your eyes and envision that you are at Harvard university learning technology and a thought hits you about computers, now move years forward and you are at the same school but now think of a social networking website. Now we jump further back to a time of hate and torment and come up with an idea to bring a nation together. Open your eyes and I ask you where have all the thinkers gone? When I talk about thinkers I talk about those who solve problems and also bring new ideas to this world. This week I've seen somethings that made me question myself as well as the people in this society. On my commute every day from work these young men come onto the train and dance for money. Now apart of me thinks they do it because they love it or maybe there just practicing. But then the other half of me sees something completely different. That part of me sees young men that believe they have no other option but to do what they know or don't know to make money. Images of suppressed black men dancing for money during a time of inequality come to my head. I look around and people stare with eyes of these young men as being inferior. I fear this age of the hustle will create an unbalanced and different world. There was a time where kids sold candy for school fund raisers but now older men do it as if it is a living. The young and old sing for money even though they are out of tune. My eyes must be deceiving as I watch a grown man show his son how to sell bootleg dvd's and cd's. It makes me upset that when it comes down to the teaching to the youth and future of this world the essence of the hustle.

We all want to have a certain status in life that we can look back and enjoy our accomplishments. But to many of us look in that direction and believe it will come no matter what. We are the lovers of dreams but never want to wake up and pursue. As a society we are losing a basic principal which is working hard. I'm not saying standing on a train or street corner selling things or selling yourself isn't hard work. It is but for me personally I don't see it as hard work but as an easy dollar. We mimic the things that seem easy and popular. Creativity has been replaced with the need for wealth. You might say im old fashioned but from my examples above, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Martin Luther King did not do the things for there own personal gain. They did it to change the world, creating a new era through creativity and there determination. These two words mean nothing to most in todays society, ranging from the people in Hollywood to the common folk. I hope that this age of the hustle ends and hope that the day comes when the hustlers will become the thinkers. Its time to wake up!

Earthquake hits southern California

I was channel surfing a few days ago and landed on the news channel which the headline was 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit southern California. A couple of people were little bit nervous and said they haven't felt an earthquake like this since 1994.Where I live all we have to worry about is the cold and snow. Hope there wasn't any major injuries and structural damages especially in today's economy.

“The earthquake that rattled Southern California on Tuesday might have caused devastation if it had taken place in some parts of the world, but relatively strict building codes ensured that most of the region's infrastructure -- homes, schools, freeways and rail systems -- rolled with the magnitude 5.4 punch, which was centered near Chino Hills and felt as far as Las Vegas.

As aftershocks continued to reverberate, officials inspected airports, freeways and buildings, and reported little damage from the quake, which occurred at
11:42 a.m. and was the first significant temblor in more than a decade to be centered in an urban area of California. The biggest strains were felt in phone and Internet systems, which buckled due to overwhelming demand in the minutes after the jolt.
